Advani, have received notices related to discrepancies in their voter details under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Delhi.
Officials have described the notices as a routine part of voter-record scrutiny and correction.
What is the SIR Exercise?
The Special Intensive Revision is being conducted to update and purify Delhi’s electoral rolls. After the publication of draft rolls covering over 97 lakh voters, the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer’s office identified approximately 33.13 lakh electors for notices due to discrepancies.
The main categories of issues flagged include:
No mapping with the previous SIR electoral roll (primarily from 2002)
Logical discrepancies in the details furnished in enumeration forms

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta (her entry was later validated after document verification and kept for inclusion in the final list of Shalimar Bagh constituency)

Former Deputy Prime Minister L.K. Advani (along with his daughter Pratibha and daughter-in-law Geetika; his son Jayant cleared the mapping process)
