Aneet Padda’s upcoming horror-comedy Shakti Shalini is at the centre of release-date speculation. The film is currently scheduled to reach theatres on December 24, 2026, the same date as Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited King. Reports have suggested that the film could be pushed to 2027 to avoid the clash.
Vishal Jethwa Reacts to 2027 Postponement Reports
Vishal Jethwa, who stars alongside Aneet Padda in the film, was asked about the postponement rumours during an interaction at FICCI FRAMES 2026. The actor acknowledged hearing the reports but did not confirm any change in the release schedule.
As of now, Shakti Shalini remains officially scheduled for December 24, 2026.
Part of Maddock’s Horror-Comedy Universe
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Shakti Shalini is the latest addition to Maddock Films’ horror-comedy universe. The project stars Aneet Padda in the lead, with Vishal Jethwa, Nana Patekar and Viineet Kumar Singh also associated with the film.
Aneet Padda and Vishal Jethwa Reunite
The film also marks another collaboration between Aneet Padda and Vishal Jethwa after their appearance together in Salaam Venky. Padda is coming off the success of Saiyaara, while Shakti Shalini is expected to expand the supernatural world established by Maddock’s earlier films.
For now, fans will have to wait for an official announcement from the makers regarding whether the film will retain its December 2026 date or move to 2027.
