The film’s strong opening helped it surpass the lifetime India net and worldwide collections of Odela’s earlier film Dasara. Andhra Pradesh & Telangana remain the primary markets, followed by Karnataka and other regions.
Despite the robust opening numbers, The Paradise received mixed reviews from audiences and critics. Praise focused on Nani’s performance, action sequences, visuals and Anirudh Ravichander’s background score, while criticism targeted the screenplay, pacing and second-half narrative.
“I have seen all your reactions and responses. I’ve received all your love and equally enjoyed your hilarious trolls. I’m heartwarmed by the way audience have owned the film, and also learnt from the flaws that critics and reviewers have pointed out. Thank you for everything is all I can say. We have made #TheParadise with a lot of blood and sweat to give you a unique experience, and it’s all yours to celebrate or judge.”
In the interview, Nani noted that the intensity of reactions was unlike anything he had faced in his 18-year career and 33 films. He viewed the passionate responses — positive or negative — as a reflection of the trust audiences placed in his collaboration with Odela after Dasara. He expressed hope that their next project would satisfy even those who were disappointed this time.
The Paradise stars Nani in the lead, alongside Kayadu Lohar, Raghav Juyal, Mohan Babu and Sonali Kulkarni.
The film continues to hold screens and is being watched for its second-week performance.
