September’s technology calendar has been dominated by major smartphone and Apple announcements, but India’s gadget market has quietly added several interesting products of its own.
From gaming laptops with RTX 50-series graphics to affordable wireless earbuds and high-output power banks, this week’s launches show how manufacturers are targeting different parts of the everyday technology market.
1. Lenovo Takes Gaming Laptops Up a Notch
Lenovo has expanded its gaming portfolio in India with the new Legion Gen 11 range, including the Legion 5i, Legion 5a and LOQ 15.
The laptops feature Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics and AI-focused hardware. The Legion 5i and Legion 5a feature 15.3-inch WQXGA OLED displays with 165Hz refresh rates, while the LOQ 15 can be configured with a display offering up to a 180Hz refresh rate.
Prices start at ₹1,99,990 for the LOQ 15, while the Legion 5i and Legion 5a start at ₹2,65,990 and ₹2,25,990 respectively.
2. Vivo Enters a New Audio Segment
Vivo has moved beyond smartphones with the launch of its new Vivo Buds in India.
Priced at ₹1,999, the wireless earbuds offer up to 50 hours of combined battery life with the charging case. They also feature AI-powered call noise cancellation, Bluetooth 6.1, multipoint connectivity and a claimed 42ms gaming latency on compatible devices.
The launch is significant because it expands Vivo’s ecosystem into affordable personal audio.
3. FiiO Brings a Gaming-Focused Headset
Audio brand FiiO has also entered India’s gaming headset segment with the FG3.
The headset uses a dual-driver configuration and includes a digital signal processor, detachable microphone and 7.1 virtual surround sound. It also offers multiple audio modes aimed at different gaming genres.
At ₹6,999, the FG3 is positioned for gamers looking for more specialised audio equipment rather than basic headphones.
4. Xiaomi Focuses on the Battery Problem
Xiaomi’s latest Indian launches tackle one of the most common problems in the connected-device era: keeping multiple gadgets charged.
The company introduced three power banks, including a 5,000mAh ultra-thin magnetic model, a 10,000mAh magnetic version with 45W output and a 20,000mAh model capable of up to 165W combined output.
The 20,000mAh model is particularly aimed at users who want to power several devices rather than just a smartphone.
5. Hammer Tries a Different Earbud Design
Hammer has introduced the Aura Air, an open-ear wireless earbud designed for people who prefer not to completely block surrounding sounds.
The earbuds use 11mm titanium drivers, four MEMS microphones and Bluetooth 6.0. They also carry an IP54 rating and weigh 48.5 grams as a pair.
With an introductory price of ₹1,299, the product targets users who want an alternative to conventional in-ear earbuds.
6. What These Launches Say About the Market
Taken together, these products reveal how India’s consumer technology market is becoming more segmented.
Gaming enthusiasts are getting increasingly specialised hardware, while budget-conscious buyers have more choices in wireless audio. At the same time, accessories such as high-capacity power banks are becoming important as consumers carry several connected devices.
The Vivo Buds launch also shows how smartphone brands are increasingly building broader ecosystems instead of depending on phones alone.
7. The Gadget Market Is Getting More Diverse
The week’s launches may not have generated the same headlines as major flagship smartphones, but they highlight an important shift in consumer technology.
The focus is increasingly moving toward complete device ecosystems—gaming hardware, audio products, charging accessories and wearable technology working alongside smartphones.
For consumers, that means more choices across different price points and use cases. And as manufacturers compete beyond the smartphone market, some of the most interesting technology stories may increasingly come from gadgets that quietly solve everyday problems.
