Telugu star Nani’s highly anticipated film The Paradise, directed by Srikanth Odela, is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on Thursday, September 24, 2026. Paid premiere shows were held in select centres on the evening of September 23.
Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner (co-produced by Ishan Saksena), the period action drama marks the reunion of Nani and Odela after their successful collaboration on Dasara. The film has received an ‘A’ (adults only) certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification and has a reported runtime of approximately 2 hours 49 minutes (169 minutes).
Nani plays the lead role (character referred to as Jadal in promotions). The cast also includes Kayadu Lohar, Raghav Juyal (as antagonist Vikram Malik), Mohan Babu, Sonali Kulkarni, Sampoornesh Babu, Easwari Rao, Tanikella Bharani and others. Music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by CH Sai and editing by Naveen Nooli.
The film is set for release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, English and Spanish. Distribution in Kerala is handled by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films.
Advance bookings have shown strong momentum in the Telugu states and other markets, with trade reports citing solid pre-sales figures ahead of the release. The makers had earlier reconfirmed the September 24 date after speculation about possible delays linked to post-production and VFX work.
Days before the release, a Bengaluru civil court (XXXV Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge) granted an ex-parte ad interim injunction on September 19, 2026, restraining the circulation of specific allegedly false and defamatory online content related to the film.
The petition was filed by producer Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas LLP. The order directs social media platforms and online entities to remove particular URLs listed in the plaint schedule. Importantly, the court clarified that the protection does not extend to genuine reviews, bona fide opinions or legitimate criticism of the film.
Actor Nani later clarified at a pre-release event that the action targets AI-generated and bot-driven content rather than real audience reactions or reviews.
