Rumours surrounding the casting of Hanuman Ansh 2 have gained attention after Akshay Kumar’s name was linked to the upcoming sequel. However, the makers have now clarified that the Bollywood actor has not been officially confirmed for the film.
How Akshay Kumar Entered the Conversation
Speculation began after producer Anupriya Nagar described Akshay Kumar as her favourite actor during an interaction. When asked if the actor would appear in the sequel, her cryptic response sparked discussions about a possible casting announcement.
Nagar has since clarified that her comments were not confirmation of Akshay’s involvement.
Producer Denies Casting Confirmation
According to the producer, reports suggesting that Akshay Kumar has been confirmed for Hanuman Ansh 2 are incorrect. His participation in the sequel therefore remains unconfirmed.
This also means there is currently no official announcement that Akshay will replace Shobhinaw Satyaa in the role associated with Neem Karoli Baba.
Shobhinaw Satyaa’s Role in the First Film
Shobhinaw Satyaa played Neem Karoli Baba in Hanuman Ansh. His casting itself became an unusual part of the film’s journey after the original actor selected for the role reportedly fell ill at the beginning of production.
Satyaa, who had been working with the film as an assistant director, was subsequently auditioned for the central role.
Hanuman Ansh 2 Is Still in Development
While Akshay Kumar’s casting remains uncertain, the sequel is reportedly being developed by director Vishal Chaturvedi. The film is part of plans to continue the story beyond the first instalment.
The first Hanuman Ansh attracted significant attention after its theatrical release and became a strong performer despite its reportedly modest production budget.
What Happens Next?
For now, Akshay Kumar’s involvement should be treated as speculation rather than confirmed casting. The makers are yet to announce the complete cast and storyline of Hanuman Ansh 2.
As development continues, an official casting announcement could provide clarity on whether Akshay Kumar joins the franchise and what role he might play.
