The special services are aimed at managing the heavy passenger rush and ensuring smooth public transport amid traffic diversions linked to the immersion processions, particularly around Hussain Sagar.
Special Buses: Approximately 700 special buses are running 24 hours a day from various parts of the city, connecting areas near Hussain Sagar with different routes across Hyderabad.
Staff Deployment: RTC officials and controllers have been stationed at 44 key locations to coordinate operations under the traffic diversion plan.
Control Room: A dedicated control room has been set up at the zonal office to monitor passenger movement and bus operations.
Relief Vehicles: Emergency relief vehicles have been positioned at Old MLA Quarters, Indira Park and V.V. Statue.
Breakdown Support: 113 drivers and 87 mechanics have been kept available at police stations and strategic locations for emergency repairs.
City and interstate bus services, including those of APSRTC and KSRTC, are being diverted as per traffic police instructions. Alternative operational plans have been put in place to maintain uninterrupted public transport even as immersion activities continue.
These measures are intended to facilitate the movement of devotees and the general public during the peak immersion period and reduce inconvenience caused by road closures and heavy processions.
